For a while, but it came obvious after Charlottesville a while back. Maybe you missed it. The President was saying that actual, swastika carrying, self-described Nazis we're good people and the people who were fighting them were bad.

America has pretty much been tolerant of Nazism since.  Our media seem to see it as a valid alternative viewpoint, and the President openly embraces it.

If you're ever near Toccoa there's a spiffy museum that doesn't look like much on the outside but is totally worth it.

You can do the 3 miles up 3 miles down trail (a rough road, actually) as well.  Protip:  When you're on a cruiser motorcycle and a local tells you that path is a nice ride, do not believe him.  As a matter of fact, I'd love to meet that guy again so I can sock him right in his face.

Totally agree.  I finally got to check off my bucket list of the D-Day beaches this August.  Despite reading dozens of accounts it was a very fresh look at the whole affair - just an amazing experience.  The cemetery at Omaha was unbelievably moving.  We stayed in Bayeax at the Leon D Or Hotel, Eisenhower's favorite place to stay.  My ex's father was in one of Paton's tanks, he was the gunner, that arrived to help relieve Bastogne.
