They turned the ambulance into a clown car?

Sounds like they were responding to an emergency at Hanging Rock

I'm not a superstitious individual by any means.  That said, had the 3rd ambulance which came to rescue the first two EMTs had *also* suffered some disastrous fate, I would've decided that particular location to be cursed or haunted, and marked it on a map to never approach within a quarter mile.

The past 1000 days have taken a toll on all of us.

But the third ambulance did not catch fire and sink into the swamp.

Aneurisms of any kind are usually fatal within minutes; the EMT who suffered the aortic aneurysm is quite lucky to be alive.

That would explain why the BQE's been under repair for the last thirty years...

No kidding. My dad survived one of those.

Doctor told him afterwards they normally diagnose these during the autopsy.

I guess if you're going to have an aneurysm, best place to have one is in an ambulance or a hospital.

My 4th grade teacher's husband died from that.

How bizzare I remember hearing that from her in 1974. He had been dead for years.

I was performing CPs on a pt, that  came in basically dead when the thought pooped into my head "Wouldn't it be funny iff I had a a heart attack right now"

Thankfully that didn't happen.

My coworkers are a wonderful bunch, but I still wouldn't want to be under their care.

And kudos to the team that arrived last, sounds like it was a real shiatshow.

Holy smokes. I wonder how they managed to save his life. Lightening speed, a giant scalpel and duck tape maybe?

If they rupture.

You can have an aneurysm and it not rupture. In fact a lot of older people have medically stable aneurysms.

Not every AAA rupture is a huge rupture. Some slowly leak until you bleed out over hours. Others massively rupture and you die within minutes.

And not every aneurysm ruptures, or even requires anything beyond survalliance to make sure it isnt getting to a "likely-to-rupture" size.

if I had an aneuryism it would never be properly diagnosed in time to save my life.

did the original patient survive? Maybe the patient and not the location is cursed.

Probably getting out of the house and away from the wife.

We got a Dell field tech that comes around our facility who is 74.  Skin is as leathery as can be and he smokes like a chimney.  But that guy is fast and peppy as they come. He can rip apart a machine down to the bones and swap out the MB and have it back together and booting in a half hour.  He does it to keep active. He covers this whole part of the state.
