I guess they say suicide watch would be too expensive.  It involves looking at another camera on the same monitor I assume already being watched.  It's not like someone would actually have to put in more time.  All the guards already watching cameras would just have one more added.

I'm surprised that with cameras being so cheap there aren't already ones in each cell in a jail or prison.

I'd say his motive was as great, if not greater, than anyone else's out there who might want him dead.  He would not have had an enjoyable prison life.

Furthermore, him being alive wouldn't have further implicated anyone, nor does his death LESS implicate them.   If anyone else will be charged, it wouldn't have been based on any testimony of his.
