I don't follow baseball and after some quick Googling I get it, but the word government in the headline makes for a poor sentence.  There's no need to use the word government to describe welfare, unless some non-government entities are handing out welfare as well.

You know, if you guarantee $75 million dollars in loans to relocate a freaking video game company that is hardly more than a startup to your state, you probably should assign some of the blame to the person in the mirror.

Gameplay-wise, I agree, but there was surprising depth to the lore, some of it fairly unique.  That's what stuck with me.

Tombstone already sucks. Now they're going to add even more douchiness with guys in dime-store cowboy gear, screaming like Nazis trying to shove a dildo up their ass. If you go to Tombstone, stay long enough to punch a Nazi in the throat or slash the tires of their Ram3500 with the confederate flag stickers. Then, get back on the highway and continue on to Bisbee and have lunch. Beautiful old-west mining town built on steep hills, with actual liberals and retired, educated people.

Ironically, the most celebrated gunfight in American history was the police, in the form of the Earp brothers, enforcing a gun control ordinance against a group of cowboys.

The guys who won were pro-gun control, and the guys who lost, the villains, were basically 19th century NRA/militia types.

Also the Clayton Cowboy gang was built around a bunch of former Confederate army guys, and the Earps and Doc Holiday had been Union men.  The Holiday family may have even been forced out of Georgia by the Klan, and trumped up charges, because of their political views, from what I heard, though I don't know if that is true.

Providence is a pretty nice city, and I don't know how it was back in the 80s or before but from what I've read it wasn't all that great. The Roger Williams Park is better than the Franklin Park Zoo in Boston, and the gondola rides are pretty nice.

Buddy Cianci is as corrupt as they come, but he did things to improve Providence.

I probably figured it would be a tossup between KVOA and KOLD. Gray and Quincy are pretty right-leaning broadcasters. Good thing you don't have Sinclair there too.

How much in the way of tax breaks and corporate subsidies are there for the petrochemical industry, and agribusiness, and, oh, hell, I've heard that Walmart tells employees how to apply for welfare and food stamps while they're working there.

And how many multinationals pay *no* tax?

You want more, or are you either paid or too stupid to understand all the corporate welfare?

It's a lso pretty racist.

2nd Amendment advocates the right to self defense for all.  So bus them in. I don't think you'll get quite the reaction you think.

Schilling has burned every last bridge in New England, except with the racist yobbos of course. To think there was a time when he was one of the most admired sports figures around, and then he aired out all that racism, got fired from ESPN for anti-LGBQT screeds, and scammed the state of RI of an actual percentage of their gross GDP lol. What a farking loser, like all his loser racist farker followers.

Special note for the racist trash in question: did you see how people lined up to support when Big Papi came back to Boston for medical treatment?

That will never happen to you.

People forgave Bill Buckner to the point he came back four years later.

But you, you little chucklefark, will see none of that. I hope at night your little lizard brain tells you how much people hate you.

El_Frijole_Blanco: Randy Johnson was better

So were Pedro, Maddux and Clemens.   But Schilling was in the second-tier of great pitchers on the era.   He would've been first tier in just about any other era tho.

Clemens is the biggest A-hole of the bunch, by a mile ... but also the best pitcher since Grove.   Schilling isn't top-20 all time.

First thing I thought was isn't it ironic that they have a 2nd amendment festival in a town that was famous for taking away guns.

Yeah using Tombstone as an example seems silly, the town actually had strict gun control, for some reason the town didn't think that every man and his dog having a gun was a good idea.

The key words there are "had" and "was", both past tense. The present conditions are that even you have the right to bear arms there unless you are a Federally "prohibited person" and I doubt you would have that tattooed on you forehead.
