Goes a bit further than that.  Punishing people for random activities is an absolute hallmark, regardless of whether or not anyone would find said activity enjoyable.  You keep people in a state of fear - that literally anything they do that isn't pre-approved can have the jackboots at the door.  The obvious downside, other than utter moral repugnancy, is that eventually people start to figure, "They're gonna get me no matter what I do, so I might as well do what the fark I want to and kill these dicks."  Totalitarian regimes are pretty much a perpetual motion machine that tries to keep the balance point jussssssst before that level.  Throughout history you always get people that figure they can keep it balanced - they tend to forget that the odds are about like opening a restaurant.  For every Stalin or the Chinese government establishment, there are a bunch of bullet-riddled ex-dictators.

The funny thing is that porn is common in China, but it's completely illegal.  The government doesn't really care, except when it does and it's just one more thing they can use against you.

I guarantee you this woman did something to upset a party member, and this is the retaliation for it.  Maybe she refused his advances.  Maybe she didn't endorse him or something he wanted her to endorse.  But I'm willing to bet this was a case of a party member being offended, and when it looked like she was going to face legal consequences, another party member stepping in and telling the police to back off.

I mean, it's a totalitarian state, and the police *APOLOGIZED*.  That's gotta be party influence.

I'm not into the bodybuilder look on either sex.  Having said that, this woman seems (to me) to occupy that bizarre grey region wherein she's definitely in very good shape but hasn't quite passed over into that hideous bulbous vein-y region where male and female bodybuilders are impressive but entirely unattractive.  FSM willing, she'll halt there and go no further.

It was odd 10 years ago when I was there for a few years - google was already banned along with FB but porn wasn't or at least pronhub and xhamster you could get for the first year or so I was there. I eventually switched to various VPN services out of Germany. My understanding is online porn is now verboten and they've gotten real good at shutting down VPN services real quick.

None of this is a big surprise - in the past 10 years China has been on this weird puritanical streak that would impress any US fundie who has dreams of running a state.

Reminds me of when I lived in American Samoa and the territorial government shut down a bar/resturant/canoing club, supposedly "for serving alcohol even when there were kids nearby, even in the building," and totally not because they wanted to own the building for themselves, which they ended up doing.

I sometimes wonder what it would be like to fark a female bodybuilder type. Would their muscles add to their abilities? As if they've done a lot of kegels or something? Would you come out with something really regrettible, like broken ribs? Or would it be as much about their previous sex experience as anyone else? Is there a difference between the ones like her and the totally bulbous ones?

VPNs still work just fine my brother lives there and he still has access to things like google and nytimes via a vpn. No idea if you can get porn on them but if history has taught us anything the people who want porn can find a way.  My understanding on VPNs is China knows some people will find a way, they just want it hard enough that most won't bother. China probably has ways to monitor some of the traffic over VPNs so they make it easier to use the ones they can get into.

I don't disagree.  I've heard from my friends there they still use VPN.  But China does aggressively tries to identify the VPN services and shut them down.  So from my experience, the first VPN service I had was over a year and then the Chinese would eventually get around to blocking it somehow. I would have to ask around what's a good new VPN service to have, leave China (most likely Hong Kong) subscribe, install and go back to the Mainland.  But the lifespan got shorter - to about half a year.

Also VPN is really slow.

In bodybuilding, there are different divisions. The "bikini" division favors the more feminine look, and you're judged on overall symmetry, curves, and poise. Glutes, hamstrings, and shoulders tend to be the most prioritized muscles. The "Figure" division is when the muscles start to get bigger, the lats and quads get wider, and the veins get more prominent, but for the most part, women are still encouraged to look like women. The true "Bodybuilding" division is starting to die out, because most women don't want to look like Arnold.

You're probably joking, but I'll tell you: It depends on the time of year. If she is within a month or two of an actual competition,chances are she'll be too hungry and tired to even get it on (unless she is taking hormones). But in the off-season, it should be no different than any other type.

My BF loved how I "looked" when I was in competition prep, but my low body fat made even cuddling extremely uncomfortable for the both of us. I'm sure me being a hangry biatch didn't help things either.
