For some reason, I thought my relatives (on one side of the family anyway) were excellent cooks and of refined tastes. But at Thanksgiving a couple years ago, they provided Cool Whip for the pie. I had never had it before. It wasn't terrible, but I had a moment of disorientation - am I really related to these people? Did someone mess with the timeline again? Neither cool whip nor aerosol can "whipped topping" was ever, ever served at home when I was a kid. Not that I mind the latter either.

I know, right?  I think Notepad++ might let you do this still (as well as vim), but it's a underappreciated feature, and it makes me sad that it's so uncommon now.

They opened a new Golden Corral here about three weeks ago. News said they have a 180 car parking lot. It has been full everyday, at all times. I can't imagine that many people liking such mediocre food.

/Poor Home Country Buffet down the street is hurting for business.

They closed the old country buffet near us and are replacing it with a pizza ranch. It does have a buffet, I guess. Is it a lesser buffet than old country?
