I had a friend in college who had rather stubby thumbs.  On a long road trip he told us a very detailed story about how he'd lost his thumbs in a farming accident as a boy, and had his big toes transplanted onto his hands.  He told us about all the bullying he suffered as a kid, about how hard it was to learn clarinet and about the time he got in trouble for yelling "You think it's so easy, you try typing with your toes lady!" at his typing teacher.  He was a talented liar, so much so that he had to take off his shoes to prove to several passengers that he really still has all 10 toes.

Maybe he can contact Megan Fox about how to deal with it

Woodworking is a profitable hobby of mine and this guy set himself up.

"My knee buckled, caught my jacket and pulled my hand right through the circular saw," Melo said

How does a knee, a fairly blunt object, catch a jacket?  The only way I can imagine that is if he was close to kneeling on the ground and had a ridiculously long or loose jacket on, combined with an unsafe stance to begin with.

My uncle did this.  He is now missing a thumb and a big toe.  Needless to say, it didn't take.

Everyone is remarkably eager to point out this was an accident.  Hmm...

When I bought a bandsaw, one of the first first things I did was draw angry eyes on it to constantly remind me it wants to do me harm.

A lot of the things he mentioned that he couldn't do without a left thumb could be done with only his right hand. Was he lefthanded?

Wouldn't it be easier to train the right hand to do things?

Maybe I'm just not understanding the awkwardness and brain resistance for a non-dominant hand because I'm ambidextrous for most things.

I don't think I'd take a wide stance in his shop either

Let me see if I have this straight.
You were shaving, you slipped, you cut your nose off.
Then you dropped your razor and cut your toe off.
Doctor made a mistake, he sewed your toe onto your face... and your nose onto your foot.
And your complaint is that every time you sneeze, you blow your shoe off.
That's silly.

Pro motorcycle road racer, Randy Renfrow had this done back in 1991 after mangling his hand in a testing accident at Willow Springs. He raced for another 11 years.

I remember reading that book on a whim once.  It was interesting, but after finishing it, I never felt so disconnected to a person as I did the heroine of the story.  I actually said out loud to myself that if this is what feminists are really like... I have no common ground with them on a personal level.

Fortunately, I have since met many "rabid" feminists and count myself an ally.  Meh.  People grow up.  The book is still pretty weird though.

as well with the rest of her. Never could figure why anyone would find her attractive. She looks like Olive Oyl with a meth addiction.
But to each their own I guess.
