You're the reason this has gone on so long.  I, too, miss bars and dining out.  If you assholes would simmer down, we could get back to that.

The virus will definitely take your feelings in to account.

If we had any leadership at the national or local levels, restaurant owners and workers would have gotten paid to stay closed and we wouldn't be having these issues.

Billions for the airlines, but not a cent for the Restaurant industry.

Bars and restaurants got tons of money from PPP. It wasn't enough and they deserve way more but that statement is pants on fire

The PPP, the one where Mnuchin hasn't even spent like half of it yet? Didn't he just stick like 500M of it somewhere to prevent Yellen from accessing it when she takes office?

Some places got some money to pay some of their workers some small percentage of their normal pay. No where near enough to pay rent and other critical things.

Point is that if we can bail out one industry, we can bail out others. Restaurants and bars should have been a primary focus.

Is there a way that we can just quarantine certain towns?  Just let everyone in that town go about their business as though there is no pandemic as long as they don't leave said town?  Just let them all infect each other ad nauseum.

I thought experts came up with a plan for restaurants to safely open.  All those plastic dividers, spaced out seating, upgraded sanitation procedures.  So restaurants did what they were told by the experts, so why are they being shut down?

Their pie's not bad. Their food is kinda meh. For decades, when heading to California and back, I have generally stopped at Spiffy's for pie.

Probably won't anymore. No money to plague rats.

Isn't it funny how only small businesses spread covid, but big chain stores somehow don't? What a crazy virus!

My town has a guy that owns a his own chain of shiatty diners.

He lost a lot of business and blamed it on the "libs politicizing every thing".

The libs must have snuck there one night and did this to his sign.

Yes, Republicans pretending they care about "law and order" and not about keeping black people down.

From TFAAccording to Washington State Labor & Industries, businesses that don't comply with the state's Safe Start Plan can face a fine of up to $9,639.

Is that per day, or accumulated over a period of time of being in violation? What if the business owner pays up and just keeps operating?

In any case, that fine is just way too low. What's the average cost of a person's COVID hospital bill? What about the ones who die?

Normally I'm the live and let live type. But people who catch COVID at this place is going to pass it on to others. And the ones who get bad sick are going to be taking up open ICU beds that are about to become in serious short supply.

It is nightmarishly horrible that taking precautions against COVID has become a partisan thing.

=====================

Hospital workers are being rapidly ground down. They are amazing people, but still only human. Pretty soon they're just not going to be able to keep up the current pace, much less attend to the rising tide of workload.

Millions are going to die. And the vast numbers are going to be due to asswipes like this restaurant owner.

Nobody is going to be held responsible for the coming holocaust.

Kind of like how Democrats want to fix the oppressive justice system, but are ok with fining and arresting people because they don't have a face mask or keep their business open.  "Law and order, unless it's a law I don't like" and "criminal justice reform, unless it punishes someone I don't like" just exposes the hypocrites.
