"It's so trashy but my guilty pleasure..."

Hey everyone! It's Sepi, and I'm back again pestering my colleagues to serve you up a fresh music round up for the month of November.

So let's just get straight into it! Here's what we've been listening to in November...

"I've been playing Slom's album WEATHER REPORT non stop. 'ANIRAGO' is such a great first track that sets the tone for the whole album. Slom and Zion.T are like strawberries and cream – they're always a winning combination, and when they work together, it's always magical. A no-skip album for sure! Slom never disappoints, in Slom we trust."

"I've been listening to this a lot as it's taking me back to my childhood and to summertime. I wish it came out earlier in the year, but I do love a feel-good tune when the weather is pants."

"Olivia has the most heavenly voice ever and, in my opinion, she's one of those artists who can't put a foot wrong! Love her!"

"Got this on repeat. Arguably the best rapper of the last 20 years, and a producer at the top of his game. Then there's a bit of Michael Kiwanuka as the cherry of top! The whole album is amazing so hard to pick a stand out song."

    – Joe Beckett

    5. Jonah Yano – "portrait of a dog"

"Not a super upbeat song, but I've been listening to Jonah Yano's 'portrait of a dog' a lot. It's very Fall vibes with some jazz and rock tones."

    – Carinne Julien

    6. iShowSpeed – "World Cup"

"It's so trashy, but my guilty pleasure. Honestly, this track is so addictive, it won't leave my head!"

    – Lida Ghanadian

    7. Ella Henderson x Cian Ducrot – "All For You"

"I’ve listened to a few of Cian's songs before, and I love how you can really feel his emotions whenever he sings. This song is so beautiful and the pairing with Ella works so perfectly. A great song to listen to for chill/emotional vibes!"

    – Sophie Bale

    8. Stormzy – "Fire + Water"

"'Fire + Water' is the opening track of Stormzy's latest album. It's 8 minute long, but I think it's the perfect song to start off with. It begins with a very R'n'B/Gospel feel, and then transitions into this up-groove feel towards the end of the song."

    – Habiba Katsha

    9. BGYO – "Magnet"

"Okay, listen, I had to come in sneakily with a second song! P-Pop boy band BGYO have recently come on to my radar, and I've found myself singing the lyric 'your love is my magnet' too many times to myself. They are a band to keep your eye on! Excited to see what comes in the future."

    10. 진 (Jin) – "The Astronaut"

"My recommendation has gotta be 'The Astronaut' by Jin from BTS featuring Coldplay. It's exactly what I needed to hear the first time I listened to it, and I did cry. Then I cried when I watched the MV, and then I cried when Jin sang it live at Coldplay's concert in Buenos Aires."

    – Lucia Fioravanti

    11. Avril Lavigne – "F.U"

"If you miss emo pop/rock, then Avril's new album is for you. Apart from 'Bite Me', which was released in the summer, the best song on the album imo is 'F.U.' It's super catchy and angsty, so why not throw it back with Miss Avril in 2022?"

    12. Fred again.. – "Kammy (like i do)"

"This ~technically~ came out at the end of October, but I've been playing Fred again's Actual Life 3 on repeat ever since it dropped. 'Kammy', 'Clara', and 'Bleu' are my favs – don't have to load up the Boiler Room set to listen to these any more!"

    13. 정국 Jung Kook (of BTS) featuring Fahad Al Kubaisi – "Dreamers"

"This song is a great mood-booster for me. It spurs me on in the gym, lifts my mood on an early morning walk, and will almost definitely be on my festive season party playlist. It's a good all-rounder that I've got on repeat this month!"

"I was so ready for their comeback and both of us were blown away! The music video is giving such strong Moulin Rouge & Marilyn Monroe vibes, it's STUNNING!"

    – Lucia Fioravanti

"Exactly what Lucia said because we watched it together and the way both of our mouths DROPPED when this music video was released... Iconic."

    – bendzialdowski

"We love Stormzy here in the BuzzFeed UK offices, and rightly so!"

    – sepidehzolfaghari

"I am ending on an artist I've discovered this year who I strongly believe all of you should be listening to. Floyd Fuji's music is super chill, has great vibes, and is pure feel good music. Whenever I hear a Floyd Fuji song, I'm instantly smiling – pure serotonin! (Technically, this song was released earlier this year, but his EP SUNSPOTS dropped in October so I'm letting this slide!)"
