Pete Davidson Made His First (and Last) Tonight Show Appearance

The SNL star talked about his engagement to Ariana Grande, but that’s just the start.

More and more, it seems there's one consistent, reliable way to make a memorable Tonight Show appearance: Fuck with Jimmy Fallon. SNL star Pete Davidson took to the late-night talk show on Wednesday night, ostensibly to plug his role in the new, pretty good Netflix movie Set It Up, but there was a lot of other business to attend to first.

Davidson's been thrust into a bigger spotlight than usual due to his much-publicized engagement to singer Ariana Grande, which happened just a few weeks after it was first publicly reported they were dating. Davidson called the engagement so far "fucking lit," which, despite being presumably accurate, is not something you can say on NBC.

Later, while talking about Set It Up, Davidson instead turned the conversation to Good Time, a great movie by the Safdie brothers starring Robert Pattinson that came out last year (Pattinson was also a guest on the show, and sitting next to Davidson at the time). Wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with Pattinson and Benny Safdie, Davidson rolled a clip from the 2017 thriller instead of one from his 2018 rom-com. Just another baller move in a sea of baller moves.
