News New opponent needed for Weidman.

Weidman vs either Shabazian / Brunson or Heinisch IMO. Break them out of whatever scheduled fights they have lined up, if Weidman is set on fighting a ranked opponent that is.
 
Oh god. I clicked on this thread thinking about how Chris basically refuses to fight down the rankings and wondered what murderer he was gonna face, so I misread that tweet as "Chris Weidman is looking for a new opponent on 5/2, Overeem."

Unlikely even if UFC wanted to, I imagine Anderson is trapped in Brazil like the rest of the fighters that were going to be on UFC 250.
 
Weidman needs a win, not another killer who beats him down. Brunson is fairly known, ranked and a very winnable fight for him.
 
Weidman is clearly next in line for a HW title shot but I don't see him getting past Namajunas
 
I hope they just feed him a bum.
