I'm talking about fighters who were not known for their cardio ,i can think of Bj Penn , he looked like an animal when he was training with Marinovich.

Conor. He did it after the Diaz upset coming back in the rematch to retire Nate in a 5 round war

BJ wasn't a cardio machine but he never had cardio problems at LW. He gassed as a WW because he was going up against fighters much larger and stronger than him.

and gas out again vs Floyd Jr. and Khabib

Tito lost to frank shamrock due to poor cardio and swore it’d never happen again. I think he was right. Can’t really remember him gassing in another fight.

Dont think you can massively improve a gas tank- just become really good at forcing your pace onto the opponent. McG against Diaz 2 is a good example of that

Is rhat why he got knocked out by the shirtless fat dude or was he just unmotivated?

Oh shit. RDA. He went from average cardio to the best cardio of all time for a while.

I remember RDA fighting Pettis I think it was and after 5 rounds RDA was barely breathing. It didn't make sense to be honest. Now I have a different view on what happened.
