"Not a chance in hell because Conor McGregor can’t beat the top-20 in the division, how the f*ck is he going to beat Floyd Mayweather? Not a f*cking chance in hell (of even a puncher’s chance), because he’s not punching with those four-ounce gloves on. He’s punching with 10-ounce gloves on. Big difference.

“It’s a money fight. I don’t know if it’s a mockery, but it’s a money fight. That’s what it’s all about. Conor McGregor can’t beat Nate Diaz in a boxing match. In a boxing match, [Diaz] will beat his ass, and there’s a whole lot of other fighters out there who will beat his ass in a boxing match.”

“I think Floyd can knock him out, because Floyd is a boxer,” Tarver said. “[McGregor] is not going to know what to do. He hasn’t had the repetitions. He hasn’t had the experiences. He don’t know what it’s going to take. Sh*t, he gets tired in a five-round fight, even though they’re going five rounds and they’re wrestling. What the hell you think is going to happen in round six, seven, if he gets that far? When he’s mentally fatigued and tired? Because I’ve seen him in the Octagon getting mentally fatigued and tired. So he just needs to be taught.”

“But like I said, come on, man, when you look at Nate Diaz boxing Conor McGregor, that closes the show for me, that closes it for me. Come on, man. You’re talking about A-fighters versus D-fighters. There’s levels to this sh*t. There’s levels to this. Conor McGregor’s ass could possibly get hurt if he don’t prepare himself correctly. It’s a hurt sport, and Mayweather is not a knockout puncher, but Conor McGregor ain’t getting hit by real professional boxers either.”

Do people actually think Mcgregor has a chance?

I think that was quite firmly established already.

Didn't appreciate the fatigue part, grappling is an entirely different animal he knows nothing about.

Everything else was cool though.

I don't think Nate Diaz is the better boxer but i agree with the rest
He's a better pure boxer than Conor for sure. In a pure boxing match Nate would have a huge advantage against Conor, no leg kicks and the bigger gloves would only aid the high guard he uses, plus if it was a 12 rounder would again help Nate.

Dead issue. This publicity stunt was never going to happen and still isn't.

But yes, Conor most likely pulls a Henry Akinwande in straight up boxing with Nate. There's a reason Conor employed a heavy leg kicking game for the rematch (the genius that is John Kavanagh suddenly worked out the Diaz brothers weren't into checking leg kicks.)

Nate got his shit pushed in during the second fight. I'm not convinced Diaz beats him boxing. The difference was Conor training for Nate. Conor doesn't only have power he has striking IQ.

Most Conor fans are virgins who've never trained looking for a dick to ride.

Inb4 morons on here say that amir khan said he had good boxing so it must mean he's good

It's pretty clear if you've spent enough time in an actual boxing gym that conor has shit boxing
Poor guy wouldn't even the best amatuer boxers in Ireland

I don't think he is the better boxer, either, but I do think Diaz would beat him over a 36minute fight with bigger gloves. Conor set up much of his success with kicks to the leg, and opened cuts with the smaller gloves. He is better than Nate, and would probably win most of the first half of the fight, though.

Do boxers really think round 5 for MMA is the same as round 5 in boxing? Do boxers really think its more tiring just throwing punches than it is doing all the rest needed for MMA? Anyone who has grappled or fought in their life would know that even a few grappling exchanges/clinch exchanges could drain your cardio immensely. Its a completely different cardiovascular experience.
