lol at people thinking thats such a cool sayingHis best combo is the 3 piece and a soda.
when you have the best trainers in each style at 1 gym your gonna learn a thing or 2I like his mid kicks, very muaythaiesque with his hips extended and shits... He also uses them very well in his fights.
alot of people have issues with lead hooks maybe it has to do with shoulder flexibility?Nice and relaxed hooks. He whips them in quick, with zero strain. He does drop his hands to get them off, but i suppose he gets away with in MMA cause hardly anyone knows how to counter over the top.
Not a fan of that left hook, the rest looks good though.
I'm noticing some gyms teaching that "Style", the justification is that it goes over a straight. Still odd to me, but I guess that's what they wanna coverNot a fan of that left hook, the rest looks good though.
They do in the heavies.lol at people thinking thats such a cool saying
It’s fast and has good power for a pretty long hook. Leaves you kinda open before and after though.I'm noticing some gyms teaching that "Style", the justification is that it goes over a straight. Still odd to me, but I guess that's what they wanna cover

most coaches teach it first as an over exaggerated movement tog et the motion down a slap is basically a hook motion just a little tighened teaching guys to throw a slap at first tog et that whopping motion instead of pushing it guys usually dont have issues with straight shots or even uppercuts hooks by far give them issues
i agree which is why i also teach it as a arm punch slap at first once u know how the arm angle works you can easily learn the body mechanics of turning your hips but with the hook lots people push it and dont get the concept of whipping it so teaching it as a slap first and building into it id say the lead hook and lead uppercut are the 2 punches guys struggle to get rightFirst and foremost the hook should be a relaxed punch. You shouldn't be loading it up or be tense. Masvidal drops his hands a little but otherwise throws it exactly as it should be thrown. His boxing is as crisp as it gets in MMA.
He does. Doesn't do anything overly fancy but what he does is effective, does damage, and he does it well.
Wanna see an awesome left hook - Ryan Garcia's is about as nice as it gets.
