I'm been watching this, just finished ep 9, one more to go. it's really great so far; solid enough acting and lot's of fun intrigue with believable special effects. I give it a solid 8, even 8.5 at times.
It's based on Dr. J. Allen Hynek and the U.S. Air Force's project Blue book investigation into strange happenings in the 1950's. It's the history channel so expect lot's of creative liberties lol, but they make for a compelling show. It's very X-Files-ish
There's an overarching narrative, but while each episode ends with a cliffhanger of sorts, most of them feel stand alone enough, with a beginning, middle and end. It's only 10 episodes long, which is perfect for this style, unlike some Netflix shows, where they drag out unnecessary plotlines to pad things.
Dr Allen is played by Aidan Gillen (GOT) who works with his Air Force partner Captain Michael Quinn. They have good chemistry
The sub plot is between US and Russia, as they are in the midst of the cold war, and believe the other is behind advance vehicles/weapons being witnessed.
Dr Allen is being followed by Russian spies, disguised as an American couple. The wife/spy is a hot little number, played by Ksenia Solo. She's trying to get close to Dr Allen's wife (not bad either) for info.
