Never had a pet.
Dog seems like too much work.
Fish are boring and not real pets.
Reptiles you can't pet.
Guinea pigs are ugly.

Feels like it would be qe9rd for a single dude in his thrities to have a pet cat.

What say you?

Single male - yes.
Single heterosexual male - no.

Get a dog, it's a bit worse now you have to pick their shit up so I can see that putting people off but they're really not much more work than cats. Brief walks, pick up shit and other than that the same as a cat but the dog doesn't hate you and doesn't put dead animals in your shoes or other random places in your house. Worse than that they might be not quite dead and bleeding while running/flying about in your house.

if it's a pet like mine

Cats are for lazy people, lonely people, or people whose apartments dont allow dogs
doesn't matter gender

Sure you can but just go without. If you ever want to travel then you have this cat to think about. If you find ya a girl or guy whatever you're into. Then you have to worry that they might not like the cat. Then you add the vet cost to it.

Why not? Cats are awesome!

If you're asking -- you're already gay. Careful your next thread uncovers teh full blown AIDS.

No, but they do anyway.

They are likely to insult you on social media if you do not take the furthest left stance possible. It is literally insane how many far left people on FB have cats in their profile pics.

If you've never had a pet and it's merely a curiosity, don't get one. Even a cat is something that will occupy your life for the next 15-20 years.
