Is there any MMA camps point ranking system that exists ? Like fightmatrix for the fighters ?

I know it would put the smaller gyms at disadvantage but at least for the big camps ?

I'm asking because I'm feeling that a lot of camps that were once "great" fell off hard, firstly Jackson-Wink and TriStar.

I feel like ATT is at the top now with AKA, Team Alpha Male, Nova Uniao being solid.

Alliance MMA, Cesar Gracie FT, Blackzilians (yeah I know it's hard knock whatever now) and kings MMA seem ok but rarely produce champs, can only think of Werdum.

Xtreme Couture does not pop up at all anymore since years that's sad.

How d'you rank them in a top 10 if you had to ?

People don't realize that a lot of these "great" camps aren't really that great. They usually only have one great fighter that the camps focus their marketing efforts around, and it makes them look great. Without Jon Jones, Winklejohn and Jackson suck, for example. Jon Jones is person who would be undefeated if Edmond Tarverdyan was his coach.

Who has Tristar produced that was good beside GSP? Rory has taken some of the worst beatings I recall. Listen, its the fighter that makes a camp great, not the camp. GSP or Jones would have been successful no matter which one of these top tier camps they were at.

Yeah that's basically how I fell about Jackson-Wink and TriStar. TriStar has nobody really solid except of Rory and JW used to have a lot of good guys but now it's just Jones.

But I don't agree with your last statement. It's a combination of both. There are plenty of examples of camp that made a fighter find his true groove, like Werdum and RDA at Kings MMA, when Barboza went with Mark Henry after he lost to Garner, Yushin Okami when he moved to train with Chael, etc. A camp is very important not only for the training but also from a psychological aspect.

I started to train muay thai in the same "camp" where some may thai sudamerican champion was training. The camp didn't have a ring, nor any equipment, besides chairs and two heavy bags. It was a fucking amazing place to train. Long story short, the camp had to defend for the second time his belt, and some more pro trainer wanted his name, so he convinced the champ to train with him, in a proper gym, for his next defense. The champ lost badly.

Never underestimate a good coach. Jones would have lost to Machida if it weren't for his coaches. Miletich produced an incredible amount of beasts (he saw tym silvia in the street and offered him to be HW champ.)

if you want to train MMA In the US.it's in California,Florida,Vegas and Colorado
there are so many great coaches everywhere but no one goes there except fighters who lives there
like Greg Nelson was a great coach back in the day but who wants to live and train in minnesota?
no one trains there anymore,it was always fighters who lived there like Brock,Sean Sherk etc..
Duke Roufus is a good coach but only fighters from the Wisconsin and Chicago area trains there

Amazing story. Yeah anyone who finds a good coach for himself should stay with him. No matter if the gym has a brand new cage of just mats.
