It's not a secret among boxing fans and has been discussed pretty regularly in here.

You so rarely hear of ped test failures in boxing at least at a high level. Probably because there's so much money on the table?

It’s not ignored, it was 4 years ago. For how long should that be a primary topic of conversation? At some point you have to move on.

Everybody does it. Some just do it better than others.

It does get overlooked. Nobody is saying it should be a primary topic of conversation, but it should be brought up more often than it is. We still have to hear about how wonderful it was that he overcame his issues; what about how awful it was that he was a cheater?

Unless we shame proven dope using fighters relentlessly we're not going to see a clean sport.

Only this one was swept under the rug and despite what @JayE said it doesnt get brought up here enough

We talked about it plenty when it happened, in the leadup to Wilder/Fury, and then in the aftermath. A lot of his new fans are likely unaware of it and the boxing media ought to publicize it a lot more (fairly unlikely considering it doesn't really suit anyone monetarily to bring it up and we all know how the boxing media tends to work), but we've talked about it here a fair amount.

It's all tainted. They're all innocent. Canelo never knowingly took steroids, he simply ate the wrong meat in Mexico lol

Jokes ofc. But as people above have been saying, this is from 4 years ago. People seem to have already forgotten about Canelo's situation and it's only been a year. Kind of have to move on for now.

I know it's hard to move on when you're salty, but you can't stay stuck in the past forever.

There is at least some plausible deniability in Canelo's situation. There isn't in Fury's, so they're not exactly equivalent situations. Canelo also caught about 10x the flack for his, although, if Canelo had disappeared from boxing and become a trainwreck for nearly 3 years after the clenbuterol affair, people might have cared a little less.

Clean sport in XXI century is fairy tail... even chess players use medical enhancements :)

It is in no way talked about like say Ortiz failed test are mentioned all the time.

Wasn’t he also on crack during this time lol?
Idk why but him being on crack makes it much easier to tolerate his past doping lol.

Furys new (comeback) fans ignore it. Boxing fans dont. Hes a cheat and totally full of shit 90% of the time.

When did Canelo test positive for steroids tho?

In February 2018, Canelo tested positive for clenbuterol which is a banned substance with many of the same properties as steroids. But you knew this.

Forever, so that a narrative like the one that casual now have of Fury is not created. Most have no idea he is a PED user. Most think it's all due to drugs that he was a way from the sport. With all his sob story interviews.
