I dont even care if their cardio is really that bad, because you can improve your cardio if you really want to.

Im asking because, i dont know much about football, but i love big athletic men.

When it comes to the most athletic people, I always see this picture:

Von Miller has asthma.

“Ban on first sight of trolling.”

Hm.

Ill play along with the trolling for shits and giggles.

Football isnt cardio as much as it is HIIT.

More oxygen=better performance. Requirement? No. Helpful? Yes.

Not sure how many track athletes have to be in the NFL or how many 300lbs lineman have to run marathons before we stop with the “out of shape” narrative.

Take a diveball or NBA player who are knwon for their cardio, now have them give max effort of strength and speed along with being brutalized by their opponents and let me know how long they last before they appear winded.

ah okay.

im sure you will gas hard as fuck when you go 100% for 10 seconds/10 times as a 300 lbs guy.

are there football players with good cardio?

NFL guys run marathons?

LOL. you are an utter troll.

These NFL players are fuckin' monsters athletically speaking.

Alan Faneca retiured from football, lost 100 lbs and then ran a sub 4-hr marathon.

You run a sub-4 hour marathon after taking 2-3 decades of physical sports abuse and then you can talk about cardio..

They train to play at HIIT level...

holyshit thats impressive

i know nfl guys are athletic as fuck ... but sometimes people stuff like this:" lol they are gassed after 10 seconds", "they need oxygen etc." ... and i dont know much about NFL so i dont know how to counter them.

Do you know a lot about nfl? I have 1-2 more questions.

Asking if American Football players have good long-term cardio is like asking if soccer players have explosive upper body strength.

It's irrelevant to what they do, so what does it matter?

are you autistic?

I think most of them would be able to adapt to more cardio intensive stuff without much trouble. Its only the really big Vince Wilfork-esque types that would need to make significant changes first. Its not like a running back, linebacker, wide receiver etc is abnormally big.

Also need to take into account that the pads/helmets weigh you down more making exertion more taxing, they're also obviously not ideal in hot weather.

It's not about cardio, it's about recovery.

They're maximising their ability to recover using an off field technology. The ball can get turned over on the next play and you have to be out there again, you want to have an edge on your competition, if they're using air etc you better do so too for the good of your team.

It could be due to the high elevation in Denver.
