Yup that's right. I was on set and a writer for Netflix's Iron Fist. AMA.

Are you a homosexual? I heard everyone who works in the entertainment industry is a homosexual.

Love that show
Hope you’re not fuckn with me

Serious question
Why doesn’t he just wash the smell off his fist? I know it will stink again but fuck man, just wash your fist ffs

We wanted him to be humble because he is a billionaire after all. We wanted him to be in touch with common folk.

if youre being serious, could you perhaps give us some insight to how the story arc was decided on and why they completely sidestepped the whole heroes for hire that made Power Man and Iron Fist a thing to begin with in the comic line?

Mostly on the production side of things and editing rooms.

To put it simply, we didn't have time because of Netflix and Disney's contract.

IMO they ((you all)) started the rush into the diversity of his powers too soon without building/expressing what was the foundation for both of those characters, I dont know how departmentalized the writing for the two shows was but as someone who grew up in that era of comics I was semi confused why it was only teased when after each had a season under their belt and the defenders season was out...it would have been the perfect time for it and would have made for something a little more memorable than either of the second seasons of LC or IF were. I did like the way the second season of IF left off...it definately made me want more though I feel the more that I want I should have been given within the season instead of alot of the meandering the arc went on.

Will you be working on future projects with the Disney runs of the shows? Do you or the team/company you work for, have other Marvel projects ongoing?

No. Disney will be bringing in their own writers. Tbh we weren't on the same page. Not enough people with knowledge of the characters. It is what it is.

Does this have some sort of political undertones. The show seems to be written from a conservative POV. After Danny seizes control of the company, I’d love to see him sign The Bill Gates Giving Pledge.

Yeah, looking at you Jeff Bezos

Well Danny is a down to earth character. True fans would realize this after he came back. He has a big heart like in season one when he said the company was in the wrong and ended up facing massive criticism.

Knew I should've posted this in the Mayberry.

You want it moved there?
