Gordon just beat some guy 47-0
 
I’m honestly surprised that the guy he beat actually signed up for this. He’s leagues behind the rest of the competition. And out of shape it seems. Dude gassed in like 2 minutes. Could have been nerves. But this was a total freebie for Gordon.
 
Poor guy. I'd think hundred times to sign for this category if I was the average black belt. It looks like an adcc bracket! But then again maybe for somebody the experience is worth all the same I don't know.

I a lot of guys sign up just for the adventure rather without believing they can win.

Correction, he was beating him 47-0 with 3 minutes to go and finished him with the most gentle armbar ever seen.

Ishii on top. Got put in a triangle and swept. Gimenes on his back.
 
Tex Johnson vs Garmo up.

Johnson sweeps to mount and takes the back.

Garmo escapes. Johnson up 10-0.
 
Gordon vs Fadlallah (say that 5 times fast)

Gordon sweeps. Gordon passes and takes mount and then to back.

Gordon wins via RNC.

Johnson advances.

Yuri vs Malof

Yuri passes easily to mount. Up 9-0.

Cyborg up against Nick Patrick.

Cyborg up 4-0. Patrick aggresively trying to pass. Patrick almost takes Cyborg’s back!

Patrick is scrappy. Very impressive.

Cyborg advances 8-0. Awesome match. Respect.

If more recreational black belts were willing to get their asses beat like this dude, the world would be a better place.
 
Gaudio advances over Galarza.

Gordon vs Randeberg. Randeberg with the double and up 2-0.

2-2. Gordon working from bottom.

Yuri vs Johnson on mat 2.

Ryan up 6-2. Randeberg keeps backing up, but staying active.

Ryan via RNC with 2:46 left but had to work for it.

Combs almost takes Cyborg’s back twice!!

Combs up 2-0 (2 adv) with 3:00 left.

Yuri beats Tex.

Cyborg shoots for take down and gets caught in guiilotine but escapes.

2-2 with 1:30 left
