Primus really surprised me last night. I, like many others, thought Chandler would make quick work of Primus. After Primus survived the 1st, he came back to KD Chandler and almost secure a RNC.

His jabs and lead left were landing, his kicks were powerful, and he threw a variety of kicks to keep Chandler thinking. I think he had the wrong game plan coming in and his coaches telling him to throw more kicks when his TDD is abysmal was bad advice.

Primus seemed very stiff, over reactive, and overall very green. But if Primus spends more time in the gym working on TDD and fights more than once a year, I believe he can successfully dethrone Chandler once again.

Too bad Primus is 33, and will start declining physically at the same time his MMA game evolves (if it ever does). As for now, he's custom-made to lose to guys like Chandler, Khabib, Kevin Lee, etc. You'll never be elite with very bad TDD.

Primus was absolutely dominated... all three judges had it 50-45.

Chandler is clearly miles ahead of Primus and its pretty clear the first fight was just a flook

Primus can give us a lot of really fun fights.

Chandler is elite and Primus gave a great scrap last night.

they should get him back in the cage right away, keep him active, hes barely fought so theres still a ton of fights for him, rickels, campos, girtz, huerta, patricky

I agree TS

I remember his last 2 SD wins where he was pretty average. From Chandler I you can't take any appreciation really.

Last night he looked a lot better, I guess everything depends on how often he will fight from now on

Holy fuck can we talk about how jacked Primus' arm looked right before the decision?

He was a game opponent last night but really had no variety to his game - spam kicks, throw a basic combination, throw up rubber guard from the bottom.

Chandler was in trouble when he was on the end of Primus’ range, but was able to pressure his way inside despite having shorter reach.

Primus comes off as really not having much interest in the fight game.

The fight played out pretty much like I expected. Primus showed a good all around game. I liked how active his guard was. He was competitive and had a nice moment in the second round.

Would like to see him have an active year 2019 but he only ever fought once per year when he normally finished fights in the first round. Don’t know if we’ll see Primus anytime soon after a grueling 25 minutes of getting pummeled by Chandler and having a fetus developing on his forehead though.

Primus has potential. I don't think he will amount to being a champion again though. He has a good bottom game, but you won't sub people like Chandler from the bottom unless you keep him guessing. He made no effort to get up from the bottom. His mentality was very clearly to work his guard and throw up a sub when he could. That type of strategy plays into the hands of someone like Chandler. His standup is ok but stiff. He has great power though.

Brent Primus: Fight more often. There's plenty of fights for him in Bellator to stay busy. Saad Awaad, Benson Henderson, Patricky Pitbull Freire, Roger Huerta, and others. He simply needs to fight more often.

Really good guard, small variety of combinations but has massive power, powerful low kicks, overall hes a monster at 155 but he has to do something about TDD he's in a division where strong wrestlers rule regardless of what organization. I think hes a fun match up for anyone in bellator, but i don't think he'll be champ again. He didn't try to get up and the time spent on bottom was enough for us to know if he got taken down he wasnt gonna stand up till the end of the round. I think if he fights chandler again he's got to stop throwing kicks, use more combinations and make not getting taken down the number one goal.

Hes fucking Fragile fights once a year lol.

Dude was acting like a real jerk post fight still no respect for Chandler saying he'd fight him in the street.. Fuck that guy

No. Like never in this dimension, unless Chandler tweaks his leg again maybe

Meh, nothing special, 33, fights once a year. Won't get him anywhere. If he gets other titleshot i'll be actually surprised.

Girtz retired and Rickels is done with 155 IIRC
