1:00 mark...

In an effort to discredit Oscar, Dana is putting all his business out there and exposing his favoritism to his buddy Chuck. Talking about his salary for those stupid ceremonial job roles.

I'm sure we all knew this already, but actually hearing the numbers from Dana puts things in perspective.
2011-2017 Chuck was getting $400K a year. Damn near half a million over the course of approximately 7 years.

If Chuck really is broke he should be embarrassed. And he shouldn't let Oscar spin this idea that he's fighting for money. Just say you blew your cash and you wanted a pay day.

EDIT: And to put another perspective on this. Dana thought Demetrius Johnson didn't deserve more than $390,000 in 2016 to actually fight. It was DJ's last 3 fights that got him over the 400k mark. But Chuck get's $400K to do nothing. C'mon.

Cocaine is expensive.

And a helluva drug.

Well... Chuck missed out on the big paychecks even though he is one of the first MMA superstars. So good for him, it's fucking Chuck Liddell.

Considering Chuck made 2.8 million on a card that sold nearly a million ppvs, Dana could pay him 400k a year for the rest of his life and he'll still be underpaid.

That was in 2006 a PPV cost what 20 bucks? So I assume the % of PPV cut was much lower.

I don't give a fuck if Chuck was performing open heart surgery, he was vastly over paid at $400,000. Dana should have his nuts cut off for paying Chuck that kind of cash for doing jack shit.

This is from 2016.

Chuck Liddell, the man who made MMA cool, now wears a suit to work
The UFC takes cares of me. I’m working for them, but I live in Calabasas [Calif.], working on some movie roles and having a good time. Yeah, life’s pretty great.

I guess I consider myself retired, but I still like to get in there with guys who are training, go at it a bit. It’s fun to stay competitive that way.

If I was coming back to fight, I’d fight f------ anybody.

To Dana that's not much money. He doesn't think like a normal person does. He's worth more than every MMA fighter in the world combined at $500,000,000 so 400k to Dana is just a weekend at the casino.

I can just imagine Chuck being interviewed by "the Bobs" after WME took over, "what would you say...you do here?"

And his answer:

What a pos... outs his "friend's" salary on national tv. Hope Chuck is up to date on his taxes.

What was the point of paying him that money if you were not going to actually try to find something for him to do? It was so idiotic. It would be better if they set up some sort of pension fund for these guys instead of that farce..

he probably was sent to expos for meet and greet.

some shiet like that.

Wasn’t Big Nog and Hughes getting the same deal?

so. dana makes 7 trillion a year for talking out of his ass 24/7.

If he's lying then he's playing himself even more. That's kind of the other point I wanted to make.
He can pay Chuck "$400K" to sit on his ass and do nothing. (Dana would openly joke about Chucks minimal work rate)
But he had the nerve to pay Rory McDonald $59K to kill himself against Robbie Lawler.

Context: the UFC only made $16,219,597 in PPV revenue for that card; Liddell and Ortiz (combined) got roughly 1/3 of that money, and this was when the UFC was still in the red. That doesn't even take into consideration how much money they spent on promotion/advertising for that card.
