What about Holly Holm vs Julianna Peña as a title eliminator?

Since Holly Holm lost to Amanda Nunes, she has been beating all the other contenders

She beat Irene Aldana, Yana Kunitskaya, Raqurl Pennintong (x2) and Ketlen Viera too (she got robbed with that SD but everybody knows she really won that fight)

So the only one left for her in the top 5 is Julianna Peña. So if they make that fight and Holly wins, she gets the Nunes rematch and if Peña wins she gets the Nunes trilogy

I know there is another fight booked that seems like a title eliminator too (Aldana vs Pennintong) but Idk what you guys think, I feel is Aldana wins she should the title shot and they can do Holly vs Peña in the meantime to get the next one, and if Pennintong wins they should make Holm vs Peña right away to get the next challenger

That's a perfect-ish matchup. Holly is getting old-ish, so it would be great to see her go for the title one last time. I'm not a huge-ish fan of instant rematches so having Pena win a fight to earn the trilogy fight is fair-ish
 
Im good with that. What's going on with Nunes?

I think its a great match...if Holly keeps fighting like she did in her last fight ...and stops with the ish ish...she could become a big star again.. she never stopped chasing the finish it was good to see..

And her post fight speech was awesome

Good idea but…

Peña is being a Diva and refusing to take any fight that isn’t for the title
 
Peña doesn’t deserve a title eliminator
 
Why make Holly go through all that? Immediate TS or bust. She beat Rhonda 8 years ago. My food isn’t that good for anything?
 
This should've been the match-up after Nunes vs Pena. Instead of an unnecessary rematch.

She seems to wanna fight just once per year. Which sucks for a champ

But she declined a trilogy with Peña and didn't want a title defense to aldana either.
She wanted both of them to fight each other

I guess she was playing her cards since that division is kinda dead, but since now Aldana is around and Holm is coming around too, I guess she won't have any more options

She had her chance a couple of years ago and got put out in the first round, she had to work her way back up after that
