Explaining why young generation is pro socialism and also explains why he's anti capitalism. Seems he will staunchly be against AI's takeover of merican jobs, profits and GDP be damned

Ok, fuck that I can’t stand either dude. I literally hate Bens voice

Well he's not anti capitalism, is he? He says it's the best system but it's not a religion so can't be above reproach. Meaning he knows there's room for improvement.

I'm a capitalist, without question, but there's no doubt that there's room for improvement. Just as socialism can lead to communism capitalism can, and is leading to, corporatism.

AI is the future of capitalism, the benefits to profits and GDP are insane. If you're against AI, that directly is against the profit basis of capitalism. The right seemed to have no issues with self service checkouts and ordering stations at fast food in the name of capitalism, but now that it's coming for blue collar America they are changing tune quickly. It will be hitting white collar work soon too.

You lost me man. Capitalism is about individual ownership and opportunity to collect profit. So I'm not sure what AI has to do with that.

Edit: I replied before you added to your post. Seems you're talking about automation, and fair enough. That'll remove much of the human element from the equation. But "blue collar" covers a lot of ground and some of that work is out of reach of automation for decades at least. Self service check outs suck ass, as does the "press star to talk to a human being" trend.

Centralized power is the issue, whether that's global mega-corporations or governments. However the government is generally unique in that it controls so much more than corporations. If a corporation wants to fuck you, what can it ultimately do? Ban you from buying their products? If the government wants to fuck you, they can throw you in a cell for the rest of your life.

The government should have 2 jobs. Regulate capitalism to promote as much of a free market as possible and to solve problems that capitalism isn't incentivized to solving. Unfortunately the government is often in bed with the corporations or just completely inept.

So if Joe blow trucking wants AI trucks to provide his family a better living that's not capitalism? Seems like entrepreneurship to me. You want the guy government to get involved with how a man runs his business? Seems anti right to me.

Flush this turd of a thread. Capitalism is what's best for the people of a nation, corporatism is not. He directly says that in the video lmao
So overseas parts and production should be banned by the government? Before or after AI ? When you limit profitability then you create higher prices for Americans. AI trucking would lower the cost of many products by lowering transportation costs, is that not good for the nation?

Curious as you type from your China made phone or computer.

It seems to me that the elites got us by the balls. Either we continue with capitalism and eventually end up with all the power in the hands of corporations and the mega rich. Or we give in to communism/socialism and hand the power over to governments that are owned by the corporations and the mega rich. Either way the power ends up in their hands.

Seems there is only one solution...

God

Saw Tucker speak live in '07 (Anti-war event)
He's very much the same person

hes not off the script, that's been his position for a long time now.

hes not a libertarian pushing free market economy no matter what and no regulations.

if capitalism is not producing the best results hes not opposed to government intervention as seen on that clip.

All digital jobs will be replaceable very soon.

But once those jobs are replaced, if they ever are, it would undermine the purpose of those jobs, to make profit, because there would be no circulation of money to support purchasing goods

So the thing to optimize profits, if taken to the extreme, will actually destroy the infrastructure necessary for profits to exist

The markets will adapt to this in unpredictable ways, as the changes role in

I'm down with bringing all manufacturing jobs back to America. There'd be incentive to buy the products that you made, as most of the companies of old would give you an employee discount or deal.

AI is the worst idea that humanity has had in awhile. The quickest way back to the dark ages. I'm 100% against any progress in that field.
