Wow, never seen Holland being this tense in interview. He is usually very chill and relax. I think this is the first time I see him complain.

Full notes:

Wonderboy fight
first min

"Yeah it's a really good fight. Wonderboy, we all know, hell of a striker, only way to go is forward, so yeah."

Does he just want fun fight and avoid wrestlers from now on?
min 0:20

"Honestly, right now.... Idk what the fuccc I'm looking for. Yeah I'm just looking forward to finish getting paid and uhh see what happens next you know, tbh with you guys."

How serious was he on the "retirement"
min 0:38

"Oh it was serious as hell. I mean uhh it was super serious and uhh still on the table. If I wake up Sunday morning after beating Wonderboy, and you guys have Chimaev fighting for 185 pound world title when he never won a fight at 85 in the top 15, I retired. I understand business is business but favoritism is favoritism. The kid missed weight, I had to step up to fight him, because he missed weight and the fight happened. I shouldn't had to do that, but I did what I had to do, I did what I supposed to do for a company man, so sitting here and telling you guys now. Certain things have to go certain ways, if they don't go certain ways, we don't get what we are promised, things that we talked about aren't honored, you might jus as well give me my resignation papers and let me go home and fuckin smoke weed and play video games for the rest of my life. Open up a twitch see how I do."

"Promised thing" and is the favoritism just Khamzat or in the sport.
min 1:28

"I said what I said, you know what I mean. Just in the sport. It's like I remember when you guys remember I was bitching about the video games about a couple years back right, I got told 'I don't make those decisions', it sounds good but you know, who the fuc make those decisions then, if I wake up the next day, and this guy who's been in the organization for very short amount of time in the video game; at the time it meant a lot to me, now I really don't give a fuck."

"Same thing you got a 17 year old kid (Raul Rosas I think), you guys thought his clout was amazing, you thought his story was wonderful, you put him in the game even before he got a UFC fight, same with Bo Nickal. It's just certain things that don't make sense. At the end of the day if we're here and we're here to be fair, and we're here to be even, everybody should have a fair chance."

"We're fighters, we fight for what we want. We should all be able to fight for what we want, we should all be able to get the same thing if we're all fight the same way. That's just how I feel, but I'm not here to bitch I'm not here to complain, I'm just here to do what I feel is right, and if I feel something is not right, I will move the fuck around. Because that's what I do."

Does he always have this thought or it just after Khamzat fight.
min 2:34

"I always felt like this but at the end of the day I'm gonna do what I was supposed to do as a company man. BUT, that being said, you can only work for somewhere for so long before you start to feel some typa way. And I always feel some typa way, I just keep my mouth shut. I think I work for a wonderful company, I think they are fantastic company, I just think that sometimes things get done prolly not intentionally, just prolly because it makes sense business wise, but then for us fighters who are part of the business, we get stooped on, we get fucked and we tend to feel like goddamn, why did we get done like that so maybe I'm just finally feeling like why did I get done like that. But that being said, I'm not fucking complaining. I love where I fight, I love how much money I make, I love how often they let me fight, I don't have any true complains. I just dont think that if I'm putting this work and the next guy is not he should get more than me."

What's his plan after this WB fight.
min 3:30

"Yeah no plan. I used to be a decent planner, you know I used to plan a few things, be strategic if you must say so yourself, but uhh, now I'm at the point in time where I'm just kinda like you know whatever comes, comes and if nothing comes, I'll sit at home play video games and smoke weed."

How he see the fight between him and Wonderboy goes
min 3:54

"Man I've had plenty of visions on how I see the fight playing out, but ultimately the vision that just keeps staying there is uhhh..... for some reason there's a third round stoppage you know so, we shall see you know and uhh, Wonderboy is a fantastic fighter, we all know he does wonderful things, he's very defensive he does a good job of not getting hit but, I think around round 3 I'll start to hit him you know, so. I think once I start to hit him it'll be over. Umm and I choose round 3 because I feel like that's the time but whenever I start to hit him the fight will be over."

Holland challenging Cejudo in grappling match
min 4:30

"Hmmm yeah yeah yeah, like you said fun things and that's that's a really fun thing. We were having a little back and forth the other day, I thought me and him were cool, I just.... he said 'he's reaching new heights', so,I said 'heels' and then he started talking about my wrestling so now I'm up here thinking and I'm like you know what a couple of my fans had a good point, I was picking on the only wresler I can beat, me and Henry probably walking around the same weight right now you know. He's probably like 200 you know. I'm actually probably lighter than Henry Cejudo right now. Think about that, I'm lighter than 125, 135 champ.... uhhh yeah I'd knock Henry Cejudo the fuck out, so good thing we're not striking, and if we're honestly we're grappling, he probably would throw me but, just jiujitsu, you know it's like if he doesn't stay away from this chokes I probably chokes his little ass out you know. You've never seen a bowling ball get submitted, I can submit a bowling ball you know, it's like I squeeze my legs around that belly and make em pop. That boy will be shitting tamales out of his ass. About time I got some laughs.... there we go."

Does he really want Cejudo after WB?
min 5:30

"Yeah I want Cejudo in one of those big Jiujitsu matches that the UFC puts on every once in a while. I would love to do that and then I actually uhhh shared a big long post I would like to do the UFC comedy night that they do every once in a while. I would like to do one I would like to have Jamahal Hill there, I'd like to have Derrick Lewis there, Kevin Hart, Mike Epps. We can have Snoop Doggs be the commentator or judge, Din Thomas, Aljamain Sterling, you know we do it in February too Black History Month, you know it's a lot of black people being involved in there. And uhh Chael Sonnen, Chael Sonnen should be the one who announced when we come out because you know.... if not Chael Sonnen then Mike Perry. Cause he's really black."

Alex Pereira vs Izzy becoming grappling match and will he do the same against WB
min 6:42

"When did it turn to a grappling match? They shot a few takedowns? The majority of that fight was contested on the feet, it also ended on the feet, ALEX PEREIRA KNOCK THE FUCK OUT ISRAEL ADESANYA, this interview is over."

Holland uses so many filler phrases and empty idioms that it’s very hard to read a transcript of him talking lol.

“You know, I’m just gonna do my thing, do what I do. I’m just saying, you know what I mean? It’s just that, do what I do. Y’all know what I do. We’ll see how that goes.”

The Khamzat loss hurt more than he let on. Imagine working on your wrestling for a year straight, feeling confident and improved, only to get blanked and submitted in 3 mins. To his credit, the improvements in his wrestling were noticable, particularly his scrambling and hip control. Khamzat is the only guy at WW/MW that would have been able to flow and control him for that 1-2 minute grappling sequence. I believe Holland, like Leech and GM3, is being overlooked by the MMA community and he will be a contender in the WW division.

I mean he really didn't give himself a chance by trying to touch gloves and letting Khamzat get his legs immediately.

Damn, Khamzat ruined this boy. Hang em up kid. You got a fight with someone you had no business being in there with

Feel privileged as you'll never get to fight someone of that calibre for the rest of your career. Little baby cries about favoritism and gets the exact type of fight he wants with Wonderboy

Talking about privilege? GTFO here. This dude is a clown.

Don't know why he's taking the Khamzat loss so personally, no shame getting submitted by such an elite grappler

He looked good, hit a few slick sweeps but ultimately khamzat's experience and skill prevailed

who knows what would have happened if he survived the choke and gotten back up

He keeps talking about fair. There is no fair. Not in the UFC nor in life.

It's also called business. They're sinking their teeth into and pushing whoever they think will be most worth their while.

He sounds so entitled...

The fuck have you done to earn all this respect and loyalty from the UFC, Kevin?

Took a fight on short notice? You were a lamb being fed to a wolf.

You're not the first or last fighter to step up and take a fight on short notice for a quick payday.

Not one fuck would be given if you retire... you're a sacrificial lamb for the just bleed gods...

To be clear, I'm not hating or bashing Kevin. I actually enjoy him fighting and listening to him talk shit during his fights, but he just comes off so entitled in these quotes that it's off putting for me.

He has no history of work and quality wins to demand this type of respect from the UFC.

"If Khamzat gets a title shot, I retire" LMAO FOH

he straight up sounds like an NPC with zero side quests from one of the video games he plays

You know when he knocked Jacare out off his back on the ground, he had a real chance to be just as big of a fan favorite as Khamzat. In fact, they kind of both started blowing up in 2020 at the same time during covid because they were crazy active. Difference was Khamzat was just absolutely dominating his opposition not getting touched, while Holland dropped 2 in a row and never won a fight in 2021. He also has an obvious weakness that anyone with wrestling can exploit, Khamzat is much harder to stop.

So what is he pissed about? What did the UFC promise him, that they haven't paid him on, if he took the chimaev fight on short notice?

he's finally getting tired of losing.

Does Holland come from money or are these guys paid enough to retire whenever they feel like it?

The guy sounds like he's set for life already.
