Cage fighters can fight. Not breaking news.
However, they're used to fighting inside a cage with a referee. That's where they feel comfortable. A lot of them may have been bullied in the streets and that motivated them to show the world they're tough. And they can't exactly go back and beat TF out of former bullies. (Prison, lawsuit, etc)
With all this being said, some cage fighters may struggle a little in a street fight. Anthony Smith apparently had trouble with a home intruder. If enough time elapses before the fight is stopped, I think most of them eventually start winning. However, they may struggle adapting at first.
Out of all the cage fighters in the UFC, I trust AP more than anyone in a street fight. Yes, I know looks can be deceiving, but he can legitimately shake you with a stare. He doesn't seem at all rattled in different fighting environments. He eats adversity for breakfast. If I'm ever getting my ass kicked in a street fight, I want AP to help me.
