Looking at his speed in his more recent fights, I think you'd have to say he is..

He is like a shadow man, he's in, vicious strikes, and out again without his opponents even getting a chance to land anything..

He's not an nba style athlete, but he's making younger, quick athletes look slow in there..

Looks like Volk's training regimen has built him up to a new level, I can't wait to see him fight again.

He is an awesome athlete and would most likely be really good at basketball if it interested him.

not at all. good hand speed but not the kind of guy i see running very fast or jumping high.

He's a tremendous athlete. Obviously he would suck at sports that require height and size but his speed, strength and coordination are undeniable. He doesn't even have a striking background afaik, yet he's looking like a top 5 MMA striker right now. Kind of like how GSP acquired wrestling and Gane acquired muay thai at a late age. That wouldn't be possible without great athleticism.

EDIT: forgot great cardio

he is definetly a good athlete.. so are all of the UFC top 10 in every division... obviously.

He's a step ahead of most guys in the division for sure. Max is such a skilled fighter, he just didn't have the physical ability to keep up with Alex last night.

This isn't the NBA / NFL.. different skills needed..

Strength and speed from a braced striking position.. good footspeed (not running) explosion from grappling positions.. for a midget, he's a good athlete

I didn't say he'd be a center.

He’d be the shortest player on the court most times in a YMCA league lol hes not built for basketball. He is a great athlete though, would prob be better suited to be a running back.

Wasnt he a professional Rugby player.

He was division 2, basically very little money, he would have needed to keep working on the side..

Although if he kept training he might have made NRL, but very unlikely he'd be a top player on any team.. probably due to his height..

Rugby League is the toughest non combat sport on the planet. Insane mix of cardio and strength is needed

Definitely better as a RB. But the attributes TS described are basically what a really good PG does.

He's taller than Mugsy Bogues.

Not sayin he'd be in the NBA or at Duke or North Carolina

He hit the genetic lotto. Great gas tank, explosive, strong.
