Travelers on a Norwegian Cruise Line ship in the Caribbean have become stuck at sea after the company called off the trip mid-voyage due to COVID-19 issues, according to a report.

“Without the islands and ports to break up the sea days this is turning into a nightmare. I really can’t imagine four more sea days back to back without much to do,” passenger Focaraccio told the outlet.
She said the prospect of being stuck on the boat was “extremely unsettling.”
Focaraccio learned she was staring down several days at sea with no early return even though the cruise had been canceled.

Christine Da Silva, senior vice president of branding and communication for Norwegian Cruise Line, did not specify exactly when the cruise would return to New York but said that it would be “shortly.”

I alway imagined cruisegoers as sitting around drinking well drinks and huffing their own farts for 16 hours a day anyway. What’s the big change, they aren’t being herded to some tourist trap for a couple hours a day?

Four "sea days" stuck on a floating hotel with "not much to do." The horror!

Well, depending on the severity they may have all the public areas pretty much locked down. In other words, you are essentially stuck in your room 24/7 aside from eating. If that's the case, yah more than a couple days of that would be brutal.

Also if they aren’t going to port, several thousand people fill up the t sewage capacity quickly.

I understand that they paid for an experience that includes port visits so this sucks for them, but I found it really hard to read that without my brain exploding. 4 days? Stfu

I don't understand. Says they're "stuck" on the boat. Isn't that what a cruise is? You stay on the boat and eat and drink and party?

Seriously someone tell me what's going on. Obviously I'm missing something if people are jumping overboard???

Who in their right mind would book a cruise right now?

Was looking at cruise prices recently and they are really attractive now, but the chances of being stuck on a floating prison especially considering I will be bring children with me is just too much of a dice roll.
