Shakur Stevenson vs Oscar Valdez April.30th ESPN

Nice ! I may change my mind but to me Valdez will step up to the challenge and he and Reynoso will find out the appropriate gameplan.

That’s an intriguing matchup anyway. I guess Shakur is smarter than Berchelt.

Very different kind of fight announcement for Shakur if it gets signed. Definitely a step up like was being asked by fans, but is it too much too soon? Nah, Shakur takes this, 8-4 likely, if it happens.

Reynoso is the best coach/trainer in the game right now. He'll concoct a gameplan for Valdez.
I think Valdez stops him late or wins a UD with Stevenson trying to survive in the last few rounds.
 
I have no idea how this plays out honestly. Valdez hated Berchelt and was motivated by all the Mexicans picking him to lose, so of course he destroyed Berchelt. Then i joked that Valdez could go back to mediocrity against Conceicao and he's lucky he won because Conceicao threw the fight away imo.

Hopefully this happens, and hopefully we see the best version of Valdez again. Then Navarrete can bludgeon him late this year/early next year.
 
You think they gonna pull a PBC and put it on PPV?
 
50/50 if the same Valdez that ko'd Berchelt shows up

Same and then I thought hed cruise through Conceicao and he ended up robbing him.

Im gonna pick Shakur by UD tho. Gonna put money on it too. The decision and UD lines.

It seems to me that Valdez fights at his opponent’s level. He reminds me of Danny Garcia and Danny Jacobs on that regard.
 
Stevenson really impressed me in his last fight. Would be hard to pick against him for somebody who overacheived in their last fight.

I think shakur gets de u Dec victory… I don’t see oscar winning by points, only via KO if it happens
 
shakur has had some astoundingly disappointing performances but it's very difficult to bet against him.

Yeah, I may go with the reasonable option as we get closer to the fight. Stevenson is likely to run circles around him but Valdez is still a step up. What can I say ? I just hope Shakur feels the fire at some point.
