this has to be the funniest holdout ever. He "retired" b/c he thought he was a big draw and had leverage to get more money. In reality the division, Dana, fans all moved on and no one gave a shit about Henrys retirement. Now that hes gotten married and a kid hes gonna have to return sooner rather than later and instead of a title shot hes probably gonna have to fight someone like Merab or Cory<Lmaoo><Lmaoo>

Yeah yeah whatever, don't care about the drama. At the end of the day he's a great fighter and having him back against these other current great fighters will be great for the sport. A sport which is slowly losing all of its great fighters. Great card last night btw fellas.

No one really cares about Cejudo that much. I mean, I can't be the only one who remembers how much difficulty Cejudo had cutting to 125lb. Just because UFC wanted to make another title for smaller BWs, the least competitive division even compared to one or two WMMA divisions, it doesn't mean Cejudo is a legend or something because he won a title there too.

I mean, he beat 'Marlon' for a vacant title as well for 135lb. Marlon is like 0-4 since that fight, should be anyways with 3 ko losses.

Cejudo is kinda like Nate. I liked them since the beginning, but holy dear God both think they are so much better than they are, it's fucked up. With that said, yes Cejudo is a tier or two above Nate p4p.

Funny thing is it was obvious itd play out like this. Now he has no leverage and wont even get a title shot @ BW right away when he returns.
Yeah it wasnt any surprise dana was like "see ya!"
CCC is a great fighter, and theres good matchups we could have had,but his decision to step away was abrupt and arrogant. It was so obvious that it wasnt a real retirement, just a ploy for more money. It was so see through and transparent. In the end the fans want to see fights more than him getting more money. I feel like even if he needed more leverage, this could have been handled alot better. He just seemed delusional up there.

Not a Dana groupie but I don't see how you can go against him on this topic. The dude retired and then unretired years later to randomly ask for a title shot in a division he's never fought in on like a month's notice? And they're supposed to consider that?
Put him in the TUF house, and if he win,he can come back in
lol

Dana doesn’t give a damn about Cejudo. His attitude is and always will be.. Honor your contract Henry or stay retired. He certainly isn’t going to reward the guy with a raise on his existing contract, and a free TS at FW.

Cejudo is one of the most delusional guys in UFC history. He honestly thinks he should be viewed as being on Conor’s level. He doesn’t realize the two belts he had mean nothing if you can’t draw. Let alone him actually expecting special treatment.

His 30 fans are going to have fits when they see this thread.

Volk vs CCC is an incredible matchup. Surely anyone who calls themselves an MMA fan would want to see that go down, right? I think Dana should pay him what he’s worth and get that ball rolling. Fuck the egos and drama. Let’s just see some great fights.

I know some people think Cejudo is this oh such a tremendous fighter, but I don't know about that.

I think pre-USADA Hendricks is better fighter than Cejudo for one. Followed them both BEFORE MMA debut. Hendricks was a tremendous wrestler himself, much more power in his hands relative to the division, but didn't have a division shallower than female straw-weight division to compete in.

This Cejudo-worship is really odd. What's funny is there weren't a whole lot of Cejudo love for the most of his career too. There's a reason why Cejudo was such a huge underdog against MM. People say well it was MM I mean Hendricks was +180 dog against GSP who's better than MM. Cejudo was + 325 dog, if Cejudo was even one third as good as he seem to think he is, or some people seem to think he is now, line probably would've been a lot closer.

If you followed his career as a whole, I don't think you can't help yourself not missing Cejudo much. I don't think He's HALF as good as he may look on Sherdog fight finder or wikipedia.

Id watch Cejudo more than this ankle grabbing staller,70% striker anyday. Before or after USADA. I dont worship him and think he's an idiot for retiring the way he did,but fair is fair.
