Gillian Robertson and Misha Cirkunov will have to remain out until they receive resolution on the status of their infractions in Nevada.

The two UFC fighters had their temporary suspensions extended by the Nevada Athletic Comission on Wednesday after they tested positive for carboxy-THC, the psychoactive ingredient in cannabis, in connection with their March bouts in Las Vegas. Both suspensions will hold up until a full disciplinary hearing at the next NAC meeting expected to take place in June.

Both Robertson and Cirkunov will not receive punishment from the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, the UFC’s anti-doping partner, as the organization eliminated marijuana from their violations policy.

Absolute joke that in 2021 sport organizations still suspend for marijuana and other drugs who have no benefits in the actual physical performance.

All drugs all steroids all sarms all peptides all everything should be legal to everyday people and to athletes. Anti Doping is an abomination of a "fair environment".

Well they do need to make sure fighters aren’t going into the octagon stoned, which can be dangerous.
 
when you learn about the steroids they can't catch, and the legal prescription drugs many fighters are allowed to take before their fights it makes you wonder why everything is so backwards

Yeah instead of smoking Cannabis to help relieve the pain from training just pop some opioids. They might as well test if the fighters enjoy a glass of wine or some cold brews.

Fighting is inherently dangerous. It definitely doesn't help with performance so it's a dumb ass ban.

Yeah no shit it doesn’t help with performance. Going into a fight stoned makes the sport far more dangerous.
 
Bunch of fuckin boomers mad about weed. Weed numbs pain? To a degree.
You would need to be smoking so much fucking weed for it to be pain-numbingly beneficial during a fight that you might just pass out. If you don't pass out, you're going to be severely impaired. Fuck off stupid ass old commission.
