What are your top 3 of this great action director who redefined it, and used digital?

i might have to watch ali again, i remember seeing it in the theater but then the theater fucked up and they didnt show the end of the movie or something lol

ive seen miami vice and public enemies and dont remember much from either. manhunter was ok but i honestly preferred red dragon

I watched The Keep as a kid & was fascinated by how good & bad it was. Apparently it was meant to be a 3 or 4 hour movie that got crudely edited for release. It'd be interesting you see a director's cut

Heat
Hancock
Collateral

Manhunter is great and if it doesn't win this poll then it's only because not enough people have seen it.

It's the best movie involving Hannibal Lecter. Most would say Anthony Hopkins was the best performer and that may be true but manhunter the movie as a whole is better than silence of the lambs.

When was the last time you took a vacation?

Lol

Heat

Insider

Miami Vice

His use of digital is fine, but the problem is that there's way too much shaky cam and odd angles (ie things blocking a way, like showing a character talking but something else is blocking the view, like another person's shoulder).

I don't remember last of the Mohicans besides the music and the fact they used to show it in school

Haven't seen Ali since ages but Manhunter is better than Red Dragon, I think Norton was miscast and Hopkins was too old for playing the cannibal again. Still a fine film overall.

And, as per usual, I was surprised when I saw that TO LIVE AND DIE IN LA wasn't on the list.

I'll forever go on thinking that it's a Michael Mann film. Even though I know it's not. I don't know why I do that. And I'm a Friedkin fan too so I should know better.
