Yes yes,
I do enjoy to contemplate life's infinite mystery.
Just FYI, formerly I graduated with a dual degree in maths and engineering, more recently practice as a research neurologist, day job (9 to 5) neuro-physiotherapy (just to pay the bills).
But neurology is my primary interest.
Which begs the question, shouldn't I be away on Nerds-R-Us.com, posting about the latest scientific breakthroughs?
Why do I spend so much time on a damn MMA forum?
Violence.
I think it's here, Sherdog (and arguably the underground), are the interwebs's heart of violence.
First most brutal mma contest I watched, was Amsterdams Melvin Manhoef vs Japans Yousuke Nishijima.
I came to the firm conclusion thereafter that, Melvin Manhoef needed to be sent to prison.
I couldn't believe this sport was actually licenced.
By some of the stoppages we see today, it's actually tame.
.....
Later that same week (this was like, 12 years ago), I was in a nightclub and some girl started smiling at me.
So I approached her and said, "hey honey, I noticed you noticing me - may I ask for a dance?".
She spun about, looked me right in the eyes, flipped me the bird directly into my face and said, "LOL - FUCK OFF LOSER!!!".
I kid you not.
Those two incidences happened in the space of one week.
Both, had lasting and profound - affect - on me;
To make me question my personal state, personality, mentality, outlook, and management of both myself and those around me.
My conclusion at this point is that - violence - violence is what makes our hearts beat.
Makes the wheels of humanity turn.
.....
And most importantly, it makes the girls va-jin's - moisture like.
It was perhaps serendipitous that I would see Manhoef perform a violent act and get paid for it, whilst getting violently rejected from a girl-next-door, in basically the same moment in time and space.
......
I'm not exactly sure what my point is here.
