So there area I live in, California, is still pretty tight on covid rules. We are just now opening things back up like youth sports. But we have to be super careful, like you can only coach 1 team, the kids shouldnt' be playing another sport with another team, etc.

You have to wear masks while you practice and practice normal social distancing. So everyone at the big park/ballfields is masked up including kids and parents. Then this dude and his family show up....man, wife, 4-5 kids show up, no masks at all. The guy also decides to bring his guitar to the ballfield for some apparently reason. Starts playing guitar and singing like a damn hippy.

So him and his family all gathered around one of the picnic tables and crap. They aren't super duper close to anyone but they are sort of using the "bullpen" area, though it is all outside. I wasn't near his field and my kids weren't near his field either so I didn't say anything. But I was shocked they were there at least 1 1/2 hours and nobody confronted him, at least that I saw.

Would you have said anything like "Hey....every other person in this entire area.....a couple hundred people...are wearing masks. Why aren't you?"

fucking ass is going to ruin it for eveyrone else if COVID gets loose around a baseball team and starts spreading around. We finally just now after like a year get to have the kids out playing sports and selfish dicks want to ruin it all to prove a point or something. I wanted to tell him to put on a mask and see if he acted tough.....I mean I was holding a bat and he was holding a guitar....so ya.

I figure people like them are DUMB fucks and you cannot reason with them.

Either they're selfish, sociopaths, or they believe covid is a lie.

One of these neckbeard idiots without mask ran past me in the grocery store the other day. That's why I resorted to judo tripping.

You did the right thing imo. Not your job to enforce government suggestions.

Thing is....what's a suggestion and what's a rule? Right when you come into the park area (or any area where I live) there are signs saying masks require and maintain social distancing. What pisses me off is 1 dude thinking he's above the law or thinking he's making some point by not wearing a mask. Like the assholes who come into a park and the sign says "all dogs on leash" then they immediate let their dog off the leash......the dog runs up to people and the owner's reponse is ALWAYS the same "Oh, he's a friendly dog".

You gotta figure any dude who shows up at a baseball park and thinks he's gonna start playing his guitar and singing has to be a bit weird, selfish, and out there. Nobody wants to hear you shitty guitar playing and singing. Go to an open mic night or something not here when I'm trying to coach baseball. I d'ont know why it made me so upset.

I want to smash his guitar with my bat and say something like "See..... rules don't apply to me either."

Thats people, maybe you shouldve said something. There are tonnes living in oblivion out there. Almost everyones uncomfortable with the entire situation, many only care about their own as usual.

Ive had people rag on me for unknowingly going the wrong direction in an aisle. Like serious comrade? Carried on thinking how easy we turn on each other. Ballpark hippies opinion was clearly that masks suck, same as us all, only difference is he didnt keep that opinion to himself like most of us do.

We dont have masked mandates outside where Im from, only distancing. Tbs Ive come across a few bare faces indoors, and it was more weird than frustration inducing. Like whoooooa a face. Gave me a boner, and that usually only happens in public when I see some ankles.

I prescribe 1 teaspoon of concrete so you can harden the fuck up.

The commie cough has over 99% survival rate even if you are over 70 these days... get the hell over it.

Uppercuts.

Especially the kids.

God, they're right at that sweet spot of contact.

That's not the point. The point is youth sports and just going out in public in general has finally opened up here after a year of shutdown. We are hanging by a thread trying to keep these things going then you have 1 or 2 assholes go out and ruin it. It's not survival rate but if we get infection rates going up again or something going around the sports league they'll shut it back down. If we keep rates low we get to play games and have a tournament for the kids. If rates go up or something happens they shut it all down.

Whether the guys thinks covid is a hoax or masks are dumb that's an incredibly selfish thing to do. I'm not worried about getting it or dying from it.

People aren’t getting covid being outside at parks bro.

I know that in general. But it's the optics of it and the rules of the state/county, and parks and rec guidelines. If people aren't going to follow the rules they'll shut it down. Anyway you slice it whether anyone gets sick from it or it's a dumb rule, it's still a rule the little league put forth if they are allowed to run the league. The point is the guy and his family were being incredibly selfish on purpose. Dumb hippy couldn't think further than the end of his Berkenstocks.

He was enjoying being outside at the park with his family. Y'all are the ones out of line. If you don't like it, stay away from them. Fucking commies

There is no regulation or law in California about having to wear masks outside. If they were a single household at the park, off to themselves, then wearing masks would not only be idiotic, but also dangerous...in particular to the children. They need to be breathing as much fresh air as possible, especially considering how much of their day is spent actually having to wear one.

Any sports league mandating mask wearing during practice or competition should be fined for child abuse.

The fact that so many so easily acquiesce to the mask lie, despite a years worth of empirical evidence to the contrary, is quite sad. Expected, but sad nonetheless.
