After suffering 2 knee injuries back to back and rib injury Khabib got emotional and retired. His father Abdulmanap RIP was able to change his mind and try one more time.
“I broke a rib and once again retired from the fight, I really wanted to come back, I’m not sure I’ll be back at all ever,” Nurmagomedov wrote on his official Instagram account. “I want to apologize to my fans. I broke my rib, and again I am out of the fight. I really wanted to come back, I’m not sure if I will ever come back. Thanks to my fans and my sponsors.”

So my point being is Khamzat will overcome this Inchallah and be the goat.
Its a goat thing to get over emotional and retire because youre not able to train and smash. This is a sign of GOAT. ALHAMDULLILAH.

I remember hearing that the reason Khabib wanted to stop competing is that the UFC were trying to force him to fight at welterweight. Not sure if this is true but I think that this tweet was Khabib showing his leverage and that he didn't need the UFC income

Imagine going from almost retiring to becoming the GOAT.

Khabib knows he can’t win at WW in the ufc with the exception of some of the LWs who moved up. His style is completely dependent on a strength advantage. Same might be true with Jones except it’s a size advantage but we’ll see. That doesn’t mean they’re not LW & LHW goats but imo the all-around goat is a fighter who can beat a wider range of opponents like GSP Anderson or Fedor.

Yea because Khamzat (who has never faced ranked comp) and Khabib who is the undefeated LW goat are essentially the same...

<YeahOKJen>

Also, as @Bend NvR Break pointed out Holland would abuse this clown whenever they inevitably square up. Assuming he isn’t exposed at WW first.

That's funny because Poirier said that Khabib was strong but it was his technique that was second to none.

No doubt he has great technique but there’s a reason he won’t go up & imo it’s because he’ll lose his strength advantage. Love to see him prove me wrong though.

He's not even as big as ex FW's like Poirier. I think he has accomplished his goal in legacy to retire as p4p #1 and most dominant LW of all time. With all the money, fame, prestige and business ventures he already has I doubt we'll see him make a run at the WW title at 32. Especially considering he and Usman are friends and Usman said he wouldn't fight him.

Khabibi only defended the title 3 times. Since 2014, he has only fought 8 times in 7 years. Those other guys defended the belt many many more times and averaged at least 2 fights per year for significant portions of their title runs. In some of their years at the top of the sport, they fought 4+ times.

How you gonna quit over a broken rib. I bet he retired this time cause of the broken toe. Thats probably why he cried. Cause his toe was hurting.

29-0, never been scratched, finished 3 p4p top 10 in a row as title defences, it took him 10 UFC fights to even get a TS while people like GSP got gifted one after 1 victory

Both grossly overrated?

29-0 never been scratched, cleaned out the toughest division in MMA overrated?

Conor fans with noone left to cheer for imo
<45>

only 4 title defences one of which was a last minute promotion on card compared to someone like Jones who has 14 or 15.

Not saying he isn't great, or could be a goat a given time, but currently IMO he is overrated.

Jones' list of wins over over the hill legends is lengthy, but he is a PED cheat who has to be gifted decisions to Dominic Reyes and a one legged Thiago Santos as soon as USADA started cracking down.

You make everyday a thread about Khabib being the GOAT and spam the same shit over and over again

STFU already he's not even close to being the GOAT

He fought only skinny featherweight strikers and the moment the division got a strong wrestler with KO power he run from the sport. <45>

Conor is not even a .500 fighter at LW and that's his best win LOL

Trash resume compared to other GOAT candidates, it's disrespectful to add Khabib next to Fedor, Jones, Silva, GSP...

If I could like this post, I would. You're speaking truths but you will be met by a deluded fanboy response. But no cuts, bruises or bleeding, bro!
