What does our American Sherdoggers think about this? Do you watch it or not?

Definitely YAY, though I'm Dutch, so not the TS' target audience.

If football is a sport, then cricket is a sport.

I'm English so am definitely qualifed to answer this.

It's definitely a sport for about half of the players, about half of the time.

It's not really a sport for the players sitting about in the pavillion drinking tea, or the ones fielding in areas nobody ever hits the ball.

It's no curling, or hurling for that matter, but what is?

For a so called gentleman’s game cricket is quite scary sometimes. It’s not like baseball where if you throw it at the batter he’s entitled to start a brawl, it’s accepted that you’ll bowl at their head sometimes. Google Phil Hughes for reference

Or, if you don't like snuff films, Brett Lee vs. Chanderpaul. Went down like a sack of shit.

gary Kirsten also took a ball to his face WHILE wearing a face cage. the cage had just enough room for a ball to pass through it so the fact that it did was incredible

I'm Southern Georgia, USA born and bred. I really didn't appreciate Soccer/Football until I went to a Bundesliga match when I was stationed in Germany. Now I'm a 1FCK fan for LIFE!!!

I'm going to need to attend a cricket match before I can get into it...

I'm keeping an open mind. :)

That was against Akhtar I think, right? That was a brutal bouncer!
Can't for the life of me remember his name, but a couple of years ago, a (young) fast bowler caught a return drive full in the face, lost a couple of teeth, what a bloody mess!

Yeah that was a bad one, I remember it well.

How’s this random one from our domestic comp, need to call the game off, can’t have a pitch like that, too dangerous

Jesus, how does a length-ball bounce like that???

I do love Tuffers, watching QoS with him and Matt Dawson when I'm back in the UK is choice.
