I thought it was great. Max kept trying to implement his game and got beat to the punch - by speed and length - every time. For basically the first time since Conor (Dustin mostly beat him with power, not speed). (EDIT actually, Aldo also did this, but couldn’t sustain it for more than 7 minutes.)Not a fan of this rematch, first one wasn’t a blowout but it was pretty much a shutout. The worst part, it wasn’t the most exciting fight to watch.
Why should we be excited that they’re running it back?
The only round I gave to Holloway was round 5, and not by much.I know he had a few rounds on the judges scorecards but he seemed to be a step behind most of the fight if I recall.
Guess a bit better range control, leg work and pace. All easier aid than done. I'll be good with a solid scrap. Prolly back Holloway but think Volk takes it again.

Other striking was pretty close.

Don't know why people are hating on the rematch, Holloway deserves it since there are no clear contenders plus he's defended multiple times and dominated each time. Should be another good fight.
Hopefully check kicks
Yeah I don’t think he’d be able to change his whole striking style in a few months. If aldo struggled to check kicks from Volk, I doubt max will all the sudden figure it out.
