Jeremy Stephens will finally make his return to the lightweight division as he faces former KSW champion Mateusz Gamrot at the upcoming UFC event scheduled on July 17.

Multiple sources confirmed the matchup to MMA Fighting on Thursday. MMA Junkie initially reported the news.

Stephens was originally scheduled to fight at 155 pounds back in April, but his opponent Drakkar Klose was unable to compete after receiving a shove at the weigh-ins that resulted in a multitude of health issues later diagnosed as a concussion.

Now Stephens will look to get his first win at lightweight since 2011 after he left the division to pursue a career at 145 pounds. Stephens also attempts to correct course after going 0-4 with one no contest in his past five appearances.

Meanwhile, Gamrot is looking for his second straight win in the UFC after dispatching Scott Holtzman by knockout back in April. The former two-division KSW champion fell short in his debut, falling by split decision to Guram Kutateladze but he bounced back in a big way with the knockout over Holtzman.

Stephens vs. Gamrot joins the UFC card on July 17 with a main event for the card still to be determined.
