The heavyweights didn't disappoint in the first bout of the Bellator 225 main card. Tyrell Fortune has now finished five of his seven career wins after defeating Rudy Schaffroth. In the second round, Fortune connected on a big right hand off a Schaffroth kick. The shot rocked Schaffroth and allowed Fortune to get top position on the ground.
From there, Fortune was able to pound out Schaffroth with punches before locking up a rear-naked choke for the win.
After the fight, Fortune noted he has been working on the choke with his training partner, Bellator double champ Ryan Bader.
