Teixeira vs. Krylov, Duffee vs. Hughes Among Five Bouts Announced for UFC Vancouver

The UFC Vancouver card is beginning to take shape, as the promotion revealed several contests for the Sept. 14 event on Tuesday.

The five bouts announced for UFC Vancouver are as follows: Glover Teixeira vs. Nikita Krylov at light heavyweight; Todd Duffee vs. Jeff Hughes at heavyweight; David Branch vs. Andrew Sanchez at middleweight; Marcin Tybura vs. Augusto Sakai at heavyweight and Antonio Carlos Jr. vs. Uriah Hall at middleweight.

UFC Vancouver takes place at Rogers Arena and is expected to air on ESPN+. A headliner for the event has not been announced.

Teixeira has kicked off his 2019 campaign with back-to-back submission victories over Karl Roberson and Ion Cutelaba. Krylov has won five of his last six professional outings, including a second-round tapout of Ovince St. Preux at UFC 236.

Duffee returns to the Octagon for the first time since July 2015, when he suffered a first-round knockout loss to Frank Mir in the UFC Fight Night 71 main event. Hughes earned a contract with the promotion with a win on Dana White’s Contender Series but dropped a split verdict to Maurice Greene in his debut at UFC Fight Night 146.

Branch is looking to halt a two-bout skid after being finished in consecutive bouts by Jack Hermansson and Jared Cannonier. Sanchez is 4-2 in UFC competition and is coming off back-to-back wins over Marc-Andre Barriault and Markus Perez.

Tybura has lost three of his last four contests, including a second-round TKO defeat against Shamil Abdurakhimov at UFC Fight Night 149. Sakai is on a four-bout winning streak, with Octagon triumphs over Chase Sherman and Andrei Arlovski during that time.

Carlos Jr. had a five-bout winning streak snapped at UFC Fight Night 152, where he dropped a unanimous verdict to Ian Heinisch. Hall last appeared at UFC 232, where he scored a third-round knockout of Bevon Lewis at UFC 232.
