According to The Sun, Almada is seen as the hottest prospect in Argentina and has been labelled the 'new Messi' by some.
The Sun claim that City would be willing to pay £20million for Almada, with such a significant fee boosting their chances of securing a work permit for him.
If they were unable to gain a work permit for Almada then loaning him to feeder club Girona could be an option.
Another teenager shone for City on Saturday as Phil Foden scored his first ever Premier League goal to secure a 1-0 win over Tottenham.
The victory over Spurs kept City's title destiny in their own hands.
