'Deaf to the bull****': Memphis Depay teases latest rap song as Manchester United flop hits out at critics and dedicates track to godson Thiago

Having had fans cringing at his freestyle rap for hitting five million followers on Instagram last month, the Manchester United flop has teased fans with a snippet of his next track.

In a series of videos posted to his Instagram story on Monday night, the 24-year-old is seen miming along to a track playing in the background which he reveals he is set to drop 'very soon' for fans.

Lyrics range from 'no love' to 'deaf to the bull****' in a track responding to his critics as he also pens a special mention for his godson Thiago, son of Atletico Madrid's Santiago Arias.

Depay's personality often sees him labelled as a 'party boy' but part of the rap refers to 'no money, no cars... I'm tired of wasting my time'.

The Lyon winger has plenty of interests outside of football with music production clearly one of his go-to activities based on recent activity on his social media.

His reputation as a 'party boy' was a tag he never shed during a miserable 18 months at Old Trafford, despite claiming he was desperate to do so.

After signing for £30million from PSV Eindhoven and being handed the famous No 7 shirt, Depay scored just seven goals in 53 games, before he moved to Lyon.

He has enjoyed a renaissance there and was part of the Lyon team who shocked Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in the Champions League earlier this season.

But while rap music, flashy cars and extravagant clothes appear to suggest Depay leads a life without cares of critics, he recently opened up on his emptiness while at United.

Speaking to the Sunday Times he said: 'People think I think so much of myself but it was really the other way around. I was driving a nice car but not enjoying it.

'Feeling people don't like me, because they imagine I'm thinking I'm better than them. I was struggling with that.'
