Juventus said on their website: 'The tests revealed that Chiellini's injury, while not serious, will require daily monitoring.
'The defender has started undergoing physiotherapy and his condition will be re-evaluated next week.'
After picking up the injury, there were concerns that Chiellini could miss Juventus' showdowns with Real Madrid on April 3 and 11.
However, the 33-year-old could even be in contention to face AC Milan at home in Serie A on March 31.
Massimiliano Allegri's side currently sit two points clear of Napoli at the top of Serie A with nine matches remaining.
