Manchester City and Man United go head-to-head this afternoon in a blockbuster FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium.

Pep Guardiola remains on the hunt for an historic Treble, having claimed a third-straight Premier League title with a Champions League final against Inter Milan to come.

They breezed past Sheffield United to reach the final, with Riyad Mahrez netting an impressive hat-trick. United, meanwhile, beat Brighton on penalties to claim their place in the final two.

Erik ten Hag, like Guardiola, is also going for his second trophy of the campaign, having won the Carabao Cup earlier in the season.

But how can you watch the match? Have the two sides ever met in the FA Cup final before? Mail Sport provides all the answers below.

When is the FA Cup final?

This year's FA Cup final between City and United will kick-off at 3pm this afternoon.

It will be the first time in the history of the competition that it will take place in June. This is because of the fixture disruption that was caused by the World Cup - which took place between November and December last year.

The clash will be held a week before the Champions League final in Istanbul, where City will play Inter Milan.

How to watch

This year's final will be broadcast live on BBC and ITV. Fans will also be able to watch the game on their streaming platforms, BBC iPlayer and ITVX.

Mail Sport will also be providing live coverage of Manchester City vs Manchester United, so you can keep up-to-date with all the latest developments here.

Have the two sides ever played each other in the final?

Despite both sides being successful in the competition over the years, they have never met in a final.

City and United met in the FA Cup semi-final in 2011, however, with a Yaya Toure goal giving Roberto Mancini's City side the win.

They would then go on to defeat Stoke City 1-0 in the final thanks to a second-half strike from Toure.
