Swansea have suffered another setback in their search with Russell Martin set to stay at MK Dons after turning down an approach from the Championship club.

QPR assistant manager John Eustace turned down the role at the weekend and Russell is now understood to have done the same amid doubts about the finances available and direction of the club.

Swansea have not yet given up hope of convincing Martin to change his mind while former Chelsea No 2 Jody Morris is also in the frame to take over at the Liberty Stadium.
Martin led MK Dons to 13th in League One in his first full season in charge last term and his style of football has led to him being considered one of the most promising managers outside the Premier League.
He is now poised to remain at Stadium MK after rebuffing Swansea's interest.

Meanwhile, Martin is set to bolster his MK Dons squad by landing Tottenham striker Troy Parrott on a season-long loan.
Parrott, 19, spent last season on loan at Millwall and Ipswich and has been capped six times by Ireland, opening his account for his country with two goals against Andorra in June.
