  • Juventus offered former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey for Ndombele
  • However, Tottenham insisted that Ndombele is part of Jose Mourinho's plans

Tottenham reportedly turned down an offer from Juventus for Tanguy Ndombele which would have seen Aaron Ramsey join Jose Mourinho's team in a straight swap.

As reported by The Telegraph, Juventus were interested in signing Ndombele but were told that the midfielder is in Mourinho's plans.

That is despite Ndombele having made just one substitute appearance for Tottenham since the Premier League's restart.

Ramsey, meanwhile, is likely to leave Juventus this summer having struggled to make a major impact following his arrival on a free transfer when his contract expired at Tottenham's rivals Arsenal.

Ndombele joined Tottenham last summer from Lyon for a club record fee of £53.8million but he has struggled to justify that price tag so far.

The 23-year-old has found it difficult to adapt to Jose Mourinho's methods following the departure of Mauricio Pochettino.

Ndombele will hope that he will now be able to feature more prominently for Tottenham, especially given the club's hectic schedule.

Barcelona have also been linked with a move for Ndombele, who was substituted at half time by Mourinho during the game against Burnley in March.
