EFL 2019/20 fixtures revealed THIS WEEK: Championship, League One and League Two announcement dates

Fans are already longing for the return of top-flight football

The EFL season is now done for another year following the play-off drama at Wembley.

Teams across the Championship, League One and League Two have enjoyed success or endured heartache over the past months.

The 2018/19 campaign has only just come to an end but fans around the country will already be longing for the return of league football.

The new EFL season will kick off on Saturday, August 3 and run until the Championship play-off final on Monday, May 25, 2020.

And it has been confirmed that the 2019/20 EFL fixtures will be announced on Thursday, June 20.

All 72 EFL team will learn their season-long schedules when they are published by the league at 9am on that date.

Exact days and kick-off times may change due to TV coverage which will be confirmed later in the year.

Championship

Promoted: Norwich (champions), Sheffield United

Play-off winners:  Aston Villa

Relegated: Rotherham, Bolton, Ipswich

League One

Promoted: Luton (champions), Barnsley

Play-off winners: Charlton

Relegated: Plymouth, Walsall, Scunthorpe, Bradford

League Two

Promoted: Lincoln (champions), Bury, MK Dons

Play-off winners: Tranmere

Relegated: Notts County, Yeovil
