Manchester City transfer news: Pep Guardiola lining up January bid for Wolves maestro Ruben Neves – reports

City are keen to recruit another centre midfielder after missing out on Jorginho in the summer

Manchester City may launch a £60million January bid for Wolves star Ruben Neves.

Pep Guardiola is still looking for a midfielder after missing out on Jorginho, who moved to Chelsea earlier this summer.

And according to The Sun, Neves, who has been dubbed the Portuguese Andrea Pirlo, is wanted by the Premier League champions.

City had scouts at Molineux last weekend where Neves scored a free-kick in Wolves' draw against Everton.

And Guardiola will have the chance to see the midfielder for himself when City travel to Wolves on Saturday.

Neves is represented by super agent Jorge Mendes, who already has a number of City players on his books including Bernardo Silva and Ederson.

The Portuguese signed a contract with the newly-promoted side earlier this summer but the lure of City could be too much for Neves who is reportedly a big admirer of Guardiola's.
