Liverpool players react
Liverpool played Arsenal in the fourth round last season and won on penalties after a 5-5 draw, the highest-scoring fixture in the history of the League Cup

Liverpool will meet Arsenal in the tie of the Carabao Cup fourth round as 11 of the 12 third-round ties were concluded.

The draw was done before the third round, which provided 44 goals, an average of four goals a game.

Newcastle United won 7-0 at League Two Morecambe, Chelsea thrashed Barnsley 6-0 and Liverpool hammered Lincoln 7-2.

The only fourth-round tie yet to be decided is whether Chelsea will be at Leyton Orient or Tottenham.

Their tie was postponed on Tuesday because a number of O's players have coronavirus. The EFL has not decided what will happen to that tie.

Big-spending Everton will host West Ham in an all-Premier League tie after a 5-2 win at League One Fleetwood.

There is a west London derby between Brentford and Fulham.

All fourth-round ties are to be played in the week commencing 28 September 2020.

The final of the 2020-21 EFL Cup takes place on 28 February 2021 at Wembley.

The winners of this season's tournament will not qualify for the Europa League as in the past, but will instead go into the Uefa Europa Conference League, a new European competition.
